With over 5,000 years of artifacts, the Halifax Historical Society Museum provides a fascinating glimpse of the history of the greater Daytona Beach area. Residing in the historic Merchant's Bank building, the museum is located on the mainland across the Halifax River from City Island Park. The museum's collections include displays on the region's ancient Native Americans, the colonial era, early pioneer families, beach auto racing, vintage toys and World War II.
